How is the PaldiSpot test performed, how are the results analysed and what do I receive?

Posted: 26th January 2021

During the PaldiSpot test, a patient’s DNA is isolated from blood cells and serum. DNA is used as template in qPCR reactions, using appropriate positive and negative controls. Internal controls are used to ensure that DNA was extracted from samples. The final report included information about the presence or not of each strain in cells and serum, as well as a quantification parameter (Ct, or threshold cycle).
